On the third of this month, my cousin, , was involved in a fatal car crash. She was a focal point and a corner-stone to who I became as I grew up. I wouldn't have started drawing around that time had it not been for her. I thought of her as a close relative and I loved her very much.

It's hard to accept that she's gone. I still haven't really grieved. Yesterday didn't feel real at all to me. The closest I came to accepting it all was realizing I had nothing to wear for her funeral, and that I needed to prepare myself for it. Pictures of the scene didn't really help.

She was extremely talented. She was quirky and fun to be around. I miss her so much and wish we could've spent more time together.

Hiya! I've finally got a schedule for when I'm going to be whom...and, of course, where those who want to can meet up with me as Pearls and receive a small, yet fancy, business card for Pineapple Soda as well as the chance to get an exclusive poster.

I've decided, due to the strict and understandable rule banning unsealed body paint, to skip on Sollux. I don't know WHAT this'll mean for Sunday, but for Friday and Saturday, here's what you can expect:

-Friday
  -I'm going to be up at 5am so that a friend and I can be in Baltimore early. From this time until 3pm, (hotel check-in time), I will be cosplaying Cherry of The Studio Killers.
  -At the time of check-in, I'll be changing costumes as quickly as possible, so from this point until the end of the night, I will be cosplaying Loretta 'Pearls' Pierce of Pineapple Soda.
  -If you wish to find 'Pearls' in a specific time at a specific place, I will be located at the Indoor Fountains at 6:30PM. Don't be late!
  -BONUS: Anybody who wants to stay up late and catch a hilarious and ridiculous anime can ALSO find 'Pearls' at the Midnight showing of the anime Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, in Video Room 5 (HD). Please note that you may need to be a certain age to attend!

-Saturday
  -I don't know what time I'll be up and over at the convention, but when I'm there, I'll be wearing Pearls' costume once again until 3PM (for the sake of continuity).
  -If you wish to find 'Pearls' again at a specific time and place, I will be located at the showing of Ponyo, Video Room 1, at 12PM. I'll be there a little bit earlier of course, but I'd love to have some company to watch the movie with!
  -Please note that after 3PM, Saturday, I will not cosplay Pearls for the rest of the convention. I'm sorry! I'd try and go all Sunday as her, but I'm the one driving and it's a bit hard to work a big dress as well as heels into the truck, all while loading it up with luggage. If you want to meet me as Pearls, please do so at the times and places I have listed above.
  -3PM onward for the rest of the night is the time for Cherry to come out and play again. I MAY show up to the rave in this costume, and as far as I can tell I will be the only one of her...but that's just a guess!

-Sunday
  -This is a toss-up day in which I will either dress as Cherry until leaving Baltimore OR wear something that is NOT a character cosplay, i.e. casual clothes/general costume garments.
  -This is the VERY. LAST. DAY. That you will be able to acquire one of the exclusive Pineapple Soda posters made especially for this convention! Any extras I take home will be shut away for a much later date, where we will perhaps allow the public to have at them once again. Business cards are, however, not convention exclusives, and if I run out, I will try to get more re-printed.

That's the gist of it! If you want to find me in some other place or time, please note me or comment here. I'll be happy to see if we can meet up elsewhere, even if I'm not in the Pearls costume.

Speaking of which, I have some sewing to do. @@ All this last minute stuff is driving my butterflies bonkers!

I'm once again headed to Otakon this year, which is a week away. My stomach has butterflies full to the brim!

I'm still not sure what days I'll be dressing as whom, but my costumes this year are as follows:

-From Homestuck, Sollux Captor
-From the band Studio Killers, the chubby and vivacious Cherry
and of course, one that a couple people are anticipating
-From and my web comic, Pineapple Soda, the lovely and deadly Loretta "Pearls" Pierce

I'm so excited! There'll be so much to do, so many places to go and just so many things to see. I'm also going to present three lucky Pineapple Soda fans with an EXCLUSIVE poster that will only be obtainable in its particular form to those at Otakon. I don't know if I'll even give out more than just the one...but extras will be locked away for auction some time in the far future, so try to meet up with me when the time's finally posted!

I will also be handing out business cards, (I hope), that are unique to the series and have quite a bit of work put into them by , so even if you don't grab a poster, snag a card! They're going to look pretty nifty~

Sadly, we were not able to secure a booth this year for the convention, so I will not be selling any artwork for I or Zach. I think it's for the best, though: next year we may have an even greater demand, so a table next year might do better than it would this time.

If anyone wants to hang out and shoot the breeze, or perhaps see a panel together, simply note me! I'd love to meet up with some of you.

Break-dancing of all levels is excellent.

Also, and I are promoting our new series, Pineapple Soda. Since I am the only one out of the two of us going, I'll be handling the promoting.

If it's a character that's widely known, you may not need to link me, but if it's something the character's specifically in, or something you designed, you're going to have to provide me with more details. :< Is how the cookie crumbles. I'm not psychic. For example, for 's raffle, I wanted a plain Gary, so she probably doesn't need a link for that, (considering she's drawn Gary in the past), but also Monster!Ash, which was something I made, so I had to link her to him. Things like that.

When all's said and done, I will use a random number generator to pick out the three lucky winners, which I will then post a journal about.

OR MAYBE I WILL NOT!

Maybe it'll be a suspenseful surprise as to who the winners were.
